There are many pet partnership opportunities but one constantly on our radar is the Fitbark affiliate program. This program is an ideal fit for dog bloggers, trainers, and doggie daycares. It’s a great opportunity to make money if you’re in the pet niche.
The Fitbark Affiliate Details:
The Fitbark affiliate program is offered through the ShareASale platform. There, partners will find a variety of creative banners, affiliate links, and reporting tools. Plus, affiliate management for any questions and inquires one may have with the program and its promotions.
The program is free-to-join, though Fitbark reserves the right to select partners they feel best matches their brand and product catalog.
Fitbark is like Fitbit… for dogs.
This handy device tracks a dog’s activity levels allowing its owner a complete overview of the dog’s health.
The device also tracks sleep quality and its health and behaviors. The product is unique with a strong, growing following.
The product catalog includes:
These sync with the proprietary software available through the iOS and Android app store.
Fitbark is available in-store at Best Buy and available online through Amazon and other retailers, too.
The Fitbark is quite an interesting affiliate opportunity we haven’t seen elsewhere. This automatically puts it on our radar because it’s an eye-catching product sure to get interest from dog lovers.
Dog owners will spend thousands improving and maintaining their dog’s health – this is a logical promotion for any dog/pet blogger sharing helpful health tips and product suggestions.
Pros
Cons
Overall, we think the Fitbark would create an interesting and potentially lucrative affiliate offer. You don’t see this kind of product every day – we, humans, use tracking devices/apps so it makes sense someone would want one for their dog!
The main thing we didn’t care for with the program is its listing on Amazon and Best Buy.
Both these sites offer affiliate programs – though smaller commissions – but benefit from related product suggestions and window shopping. You would technically “miss out” on potential side sales by partnering directly with the Fitbark affiliate program.
However, we think this is a promotion with potential especially if you’re A/B testing. If this promotion does especially well then 4%+ extra commissions will make quite a difference! Perhaps try Fitbark through Best Buy and/or Amazon first, then migrate to their ShareASale offering.
Should you join? We think so!
How many dog fitness trackers are you listing on your site? …Exactly!
